We've all heard the stories about how the iphone has transformed mobile internet - Admob data shows that 18% of their ad requests are from iphone and ipod touches - and that smartphones as a whole now account for around a third of all ad requests on their network.
New data from ComScore gives some scale to this - their latest report suggests that over 22 million people in the US access mobile internet every day - and that 63 million do so at least once each month. The most surprising thing about this data is that it excludes social media, which I believe is a big driver of mobile - so tons more growth to come.
